In 2000, I returned to fantasy football after a five year break. The rise of the Internet had removed much of the labor involved in fantasy sports and created a nation-wide craze.
In 2001, I was searching for a way to add competitiveness to my new league. The cash prize was fun but there was something missing. It dawned on me that players in any league, pro to amateur focus on their league’s championship trophy as a Holy Grail. So, I purchase a trophy for the 2001 season and watched as year-after-year the trophy began to overshadow the cash prize as our league’s ultimate prize.
I created FantasyFootballTrophies.net as a “one-stop” shop for all the things that make fantasy sports more fun and exciting.
